Team members from Honor Credit Union came to support the small animal auction Friday at the Berrien County Youth Fair.
“All of these kids have spent so much time raising their animals; it’s great to see the pride on their faces when the bidding begins,” said regional manager Jessica Kehrer.
Throughout the summer, Honor received letters from members participating in the Berrien County Youth Fair Auction asking to Honor to bid on their animals. This year, Honor was the winner of three sets of chickens and three turkeys. All of the animals were donated back to the child who raised them.
Honor Credit Union was also the sponsor of Country Day at the Berrien County Youth Fair this year.
“We are very proud of our continued involvement with the Berrien County Youth Fair,” said Scott McFarland, BCYF volunteer. This year Honor also sponsored the Justin Moore concert, and continued their annual wristband voucher discounts for rides.
Honor team members also volunteered, gave away free corn dog coupons to individuals wearing Honor shirts and distributed more than 400 bandanas and 600 sunglasses to BCYF visitors.
