NILES - If you have ideas on what progress you would like to see happen in Niles - tonight you will have a chance to speak up.
Community residents and business people will have a chance to discuss possibilities for Niles downtown business development and marketing initiatives at an open invitation Town Meeting &Workshop tonight at the Bell Center, corner of 3rd and Sycamore, upper level, off the 4th street parking lot, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The town meeting and workshop is a community-wide forum being staged to kick-off the Downtown Niles Market Study project.
Members of the Downtown Professionals Network (DPN), a consulting firm based in the Chicago area, have been in Niles for two days collecting input from downtown business leaders.
Wednesday's town meeting and workshop will give residents and business owners an opportunity to share thoughts and ideas.
These will set the tone for local research activities and the development of strategies and recommendations to guide Niles downtown business development initiatives.
DPN was retained by the Michigan Economic Development Corp. to facilitate this study for Niles.
