Jennifer L. Alfartusi, 41, of Union, passed to her rest Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, while a patient a Cass County Medical Care Facility, Cassopolis, after a battle with cancer since 2005.
She was born June 18, 1970, in Elkhart, the daughter of Eugene and Lorraine (Goldsmith) Linzy. She had lived in the Michiana area all her life. She graduated from Memorial High School, Elkhart, and was employed at Benteler Automotive.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Abdul, and her loving children, Nathaneal Gonyea and Layla Alfartusi, and her mother, Lorraine Linzy, of Elkhart; and her three brothers, Mike (Pat) Linzy and Keith (Robin) Linzy, both of Union and Gene (Kathy) Linzy, of Lexington, Ky. Her father, Eugene Linzy, has passed.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be celebrated in her memory Saturday, March 3, at 11 a.m. at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 3300 Benham Ave., Elkhart, where family and friends may gather from 10 to 11 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Andrea Hickey, pastor of the church. There will be a luncheon in the church immediately following services.
