United Federal Credit Union announces the appointment of Brett Wier to the position of vice president, member relations for south Berrien County and Ohio.

In his new position, Wier will lead marketing, business development and strategic efforts for the credit union’s branches in south Berrien County and Ohio.

Prior to his new position, Wier served for three years as UFCU’s Stevensville branch manager. He has spent the last year managing the acquisition and integration of Griffith Savings Bank in Griffith, Ind.

Wier brings more than nine years of financial experience to his new role.

Wier received his bachelor of science degree in marketing and professional golf management from Ferris State University. He resides in St. Joseph with his wife and two children.
