CASSOPOLIS — Midwest Energy Cooperative invites the community to support the work of Cass County Cancer Service by displaying “Pink Flair to be Breast Cancer Aware” during October.
On Friday, Oct. 7, Jen Sobasky, a hair stylist and certified extension specialist from Mane Event in Elkhart, will set up shop in the cooperative’s Cassopolis District Service Center with a selection of pink feathers and hair extensions she will style into your hair for a $10 donation per application.
She will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or while supplies last. Services and supplies will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis. The office is located at 901 East State St.
Sobasky is donating her time for this effort, and Midwest Energy Cooperative is covering the cost of the supplies.
All proceeds will be donated to Cass County Cancer Service, an agency that provides limited financial assistance, loaned medical equipment and information and referral to encourage the physical and emotional well being of cancer patients living in Cass County.
Information about the agency and breast cancer prevention will be available at the event.
