Barbara E. “Barbie” Zablocki, 58, of Cassopolis, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.  She was born Nov. 23, 1952 to John and Garnet (Mathias) Goodrich.  She married Ed Zablocki on June 30, 1979 in Dowagiac.

Barbie was in real estate for 23 years, the last 15 as broker/owner of ReMax Shore Acres. She loved her family, especially the grandkids.

She was very fond of the home she and her husband built on Diamond Lake. She had to have a lot of sand on their beach. She also loved shopping, fishing, and mushroom hunting.  Barbie was a good person, inside and out.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Ed Zablocki of Cassopolis; two daughters, Lisa (Tim) Burdue of South Bend and Laurie Schrader of Niles; three sons, Ed (Tracey) Zablocki of Cleveland, Ohio, Scott (Teresa) Wellman of Cassopolis and Todd Zablocki of Niles; “mom and dad,” Bill and Vi Martin of Dowagiac; eight beautiful granddaughters; four grandsons; two sisters, Betty (Reverend Jim) Dunn of Coloma and Becky Goodrich of Thompsonville; three brothers, Donny Carlson of Thompsonville, Danny Carlson of Thompsonville and Tom (Melody) Goodrich of Cassopolis; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather on Friday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. at Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, Cassopolis.
