Carol Lynne Fields, 56, beloved wife of Robert R. Fields, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 at her residence at Fields Landing, Shavehead Lake, Vandalia.

She was born July 7, 1954 in Swansea, South Wales, United Kingdom to William and Elizabeth (White) Edwards. She married Robert R. Fields on July 3, 1999 in LaPorte, Ind.

She was a homemaker.

Carol is survived by her husband, Robert R. Fields of Fields Landing, Shavehead Lake, Vandalia; two sons, David (Joanna) Vertannes and Michael Vertannes, both of Surrey, England; two brothers, David Edwards and Michael Edwards, both of Swansea, Wales; and one granddaughter, Isabella Vertannes.

The family will observe a private remembrance.

She will be interred in her native South Wales.
