Edwardsburg was unable to keep pace with Buchanan in their Lakeland Conference showdown as the Eddies were defeated by the Bucks 37-22.

Picking up wins for Edwardsburg were Brett Bowman (119), Michael Kempton (130), Ryan Loupee (145), Lee Williamson (152), Col Hunsberger (189) and Stephen Coble (215).

The Eddies did defeat Brandywine in its second match of the evening, 57-21.

Buchanan Super Duals

BUCHANAN — The Cassopolis wrestling team went 4-1 on Saturday to finish second at the Buchanan Super Duals.

The Bucks were 5-0 and captured their own invitational.

The Rangers defeated Buchanan “B” 44-25, Decatur “B” 54-24, Bridgman 58-9 and St. Joseph “B” 54-30. Cassopolis was defeated for the title by Buchanan 58-15.

Going undefeated on the day for the Rangers were Lucky Thammavongsa (125), Joshua McCoy (130) and Dominic Forbes (189).

Finishing the day at 4-1 were Shantrell Gilliam (112), Tyler Butrick (125), Bretho Danzy (140) and Ian Montgomery (171).
