Randy Carl Lloyd, 47, of Niles Township, Niles, passed to his rest Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010 at his home after a battle with cancer.

He was born Nov. 17, 1953 to the late Utah Carl and Ella Jean (Wogoman) Lloyd. He lived in the Niles area all his life.

Randy was a tool die maker for RACO of South Bend. He was active in the development of the Niles Haunted House. He loved to fish and to be able to go camping, especially traveling around the country.

Surviving are his companion, Diane (Woolwine) Hively; his daughter, Candy (Anthony) Kieta of Niles; his stepdaughter, Patrisha Hively of Elkhart; and his stepson, Thomas Hively Jr. of Bristol, Ind. There are four grandchildren and six step-grandchildren. Two sisters, Debra Kathryn (Jeff) Tacket of West Virginia and Mary Jean VanKirk of Tennesee, and a brother, Terry Lee Lloyd of North Carolina, also survive.

Friends and family gathered at Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, 25863 West Main St. (U.S. Highway 12), Edwardsburg, Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010 from 3 to 6 p.m.

There was a service at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial was Monday at 11 a.m. at Smith’s Chapel Cemetery on Redfield Road, where he was laid to rest alongside his parents.
