It’s ‘payback’ time for Congress

Dear editor:

Just because Congress is made up of mostly lawyers — Harvard lawyers at that — doesn’t mean that they have any intelligence.

When the decision was made to bailed out GM evidently there were no provisions made for a payback plan. Such as how or when they would pay the debt back. I had heard that they owe us $55 billion; however, they still managed to donate some funds to a political group and some funds to a certain politician. I did not hear to whom nor how much was donated, but I would like to think that they would pay off their debt first. To me, that sounds like a payoff rather than a payback.

I would like to find out who could check this out because I wouldn’t know who to trust or depend on.
