Dear editor:

Those who oppose the building of the mosque on lands that belong to a Moslem congregation in New York City are trashing the concepts set forth in the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Our fighting men are in Iraq and Afghanistan because they believe in the rule of law.  Those who argue that we should prevent the building of a mosque within the proximity of the site of 9/11 turn their back on our laws and Constitution, the beliefs of our forefathers and the foundations of the republic.

We all know what the law is.  Follow it.  The right to worship in the way we want is as fundamental as any of the liberties granted by the US Constitution.

Anyone who tries to stop the building of the mosque near the site of 9/11 casts a vote against the beliefs of our forefathers, the rule of law, and much of what this country represents.
