Mason Twp. meth lab busted

Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announced that on Tuesday, July 12, detectives located a meth lab in the 19000 block of U.S. 12 in Mason Township.

Two adults were arrested as a result.

Investigators went to the home as part of an investigation into methamphetamine production.

While at the residence, police reported finding the remains of a one-pot-style meth lab, meth paraphernalia and evidence of meth sales.

Adult Protective Services of the Department of Human Services was contacted regarding a disabled adult living at the residence.

An adult female and an adult male were arrested at the scene for allegedly manufacturing meth, possession of meth with intent to deliver meth, meth possession and maintaining a drug house. Both subjects were lodged at the Cass County Jail in Cassopolis.

This matter remains under investigation.
