Community members are invited to tour the new Marie Yeager Cancer Center, 3900 Hollywood Rd., St. Joseph on Friday, June 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Lakeland HealthCare facility will open for patient care in early July. The Marie Yeager Cancer Center will encompass many cancer services under one roof for patient convenience and comfort.

Services within the 30,000-square-foot facility will include medical oncology, a laboratory, pharmacy, infusion therapy, patient navigation/care coordination, clinical research, palliative care, lymphedema therapy, medical social work, nutrition support, and holistic/alternative therapies. Community support services such as Berrien County Cancer Services will also be available. Van’s Health and Appearance Center, a new location inside the facility, will provide cancer patients with expert consultation on a wide variety of cancer care products, including wigs, makeup, skin care, apparel, and more.

Throughout the building, elements such as sandstone and wood reflect the natural beauty of southwest Michigan and help provide a peaceful, patient- and family-oriented environment. Expansive windows admit natural light and provide the opportunity to view colorful gardens. Multiple indoor and outdoor gathering areas will offer patients, families, and support persons places to talk, relax or confer with cancer center staff.  For more information about the Marie Yeager Cancer Center, visit www.lakelandhealth.org/cancercare.
