Berrien’s 1839 Courthouse Museum holds annual open house

BERRIEN SPRINGS - The 1839 Courthouse Museum presents its thirteenth annual Christmas Open House from 1 to 5 p.m. on this Sunday Dec. 12. Admission to the museum is free. Tour the courthouse and sheriff's house decorated for the Christmas holiday season.
This year's activities include Jan Burda Band performing in the log house. Bring an instrument join the fun, or just come to enjoy. As they often do, they will have the fire going in the hearth of the log house. Relax in front of the warm fire and enjoy a sampling of hot wassail and treats.
Our guest blacksmiths will give demonstrations throughout the afternoon. Visit the blacksmith to learn about the trade and to exchange stories.
