DOWAGIAC – From working outside the home to grocery shopping to cooking dinner to shuffling family members to and from activities, women have competing priorities.
To give them the specialized care they deserve, but often don't find the time to receive, Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital will host a comprehensive Women's Health Fair on Friday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on 2-East.
This event will feature free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, as well as coupons for hearing testing and colorectal screening kits.
"Everyone, including men, can gain something from our health fair," said Ann Turner, nurse educator, Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital.
"Combined with free screenings, visitors will benefit from a variety of health information, such as eye and dental care recommendations, fibromyalgia management and a noon seminar on women and heart disease."
The one-day-only event also includes the opportunity to register for low-cost vascular and bone density testing, as well as the chance to win special door prizes.
