Low’s goals lift Bobcats

Sam Low scored a pair of goals, including the match-winner, as host Brandywine edged Granger (Ind.) Christian, 2-1 on Thursday night.

Low opened the scoring for the Bobcats in the fifth minute off an assist from Kayli Hatch.

Granger Christian knotted the score at 1-1 in the 23rd minute as Hannah Martinez dented the back of the net.

Low’s winning goal came in the 67th minute with the assist going to Angelika Anderson.

The Bobcats outshot Granger Christian 8-5. Carlie Newman made four saves for Brandywine, while Catherine Slagle had six saves for Granger.

Brandywine will host the reschedule VanDenBerg Invitational on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
