Proctor, Negron win doubles crown

New champions were crowned in men's doubles and Mike and Chuck Rubino did not participate in the tournament.
Dave Negron and Terry Proctor took home the championship with a three-set victory over Scott Marshall and Curtis Partee in the finals.
Negron and Proctor received a first round bye and then defeated Mike Hoff and Josue Miranda 6-4 and 6-3 to advance to the title match.
Marshall and Partee also received a first round bye and then defeated Doug and Collin Boyll 4-6, 6-3 and 10-8 in a super tiebreaker.
In the finals, Marshall and Partee won the first set 6-4 before Negron and Proctor blanked them 6-0 and 6-0 in the final two sets for the championship.
Hoff and Miranda advanced to the quarterfinals with a 3-6, 6-3 (10-4) victory over DeAngelo Baylock and Sonny Swartz.
Team Boyll moved on to the semifinals with a 6-0 and 6-0 win over Terry Ausra and Oscar Azevedo.
In the consolation round, Team Boyll defeated Baylock and Swartz 8-3 in a super tiebreaker, while Hoff and Miranda defeated Ausra and Azevedo 8-5. Team Boyll finished third with an 8-6 win over Hoff and Miranda.
