EDWARDSBURG – Paul DeLano has yet to hear a response from either the Eagle Lake Improvement Association, or the Ontwa Township Board on his written request.
He asked for $157.66 from each, for Eagle Lake Public Access signs. His company, Lakeview, would cover any additional cost plus posts and installation.
DeLano further asked the Ontwa Township Board to place his request on the agenda for its Monday, Feb. 12 meeting.
He realizes the Cass County Road Commission would also have to show approval before any signs could be placed.
DeLano also has asked the road commission to accept the donation of a vacant lot, at 23275 Lakeview Drive, as a county park with parking for at least 25 cars.
His concern, he said, is "the public's right to access the waters of Eagle Lake … for generations to come."
In another development of DeLano's, on Christiana Lake, the Ontwa Township Planning Commission will recommend the six unit condominium project be accepted. Previously, an eighth unit preliminary site plan had been rejected.
This plan, to be called Lakeshore Estates, is on the former Spanish Terrace property. Approval will still be needed by the Cass COunty Planning COmmission and the Ontwa Township Board.
