The joint exhibit by Ruth Andrews and Michael Slaski is called "Dreams and Poverties." Both Andrews and Slaski portray the human form in their work.
Andrews uses vivid color to portray both ordinary people ding ordinary homey chores and also fantastic creations originating in a dream world.
The title of the show was Slaski's idea, but Andrews said, "I like it because my paintings occur at that intersection."
Slaski's carvings of the human torso in wood and limestone are simple an direct.
He added, "I am grateful for the use of this wonderful building."
