MSU season tickets going fast

EAST LANSING — Michigan State football season-ticket and single-game sales remain strong for the upcoming 2011 season, according to information released by the Spartan Ticket Office Thursday.
Approximately 1,000 season tickets remain available for sale; however, the popular Family Plan sections (north and south end zones) are sold out. Season tickets are priced at $308 for the general public, $252 for faculty/staff, $175 for recent graduates and $136 for MSU undergraduate students.
Single-game tickets are on sale for all home games, except the Oct. 15 game against Michigan (available through the season-ticket package only).
Single-game tickets are priced at $49, except for the Oct. 22 Homecoming game against Wisconsin ($75). Approximately 3,000 tickets remain on sale for MSU’s Sept. 24 home game against Central Michigan and only 1,000 seats are available for the Oct. 22 primetime game against Wisconsin.
More than 5,000 tickets remain on sale for each of MSU’s four remaining home games: Sept. 2 season opener vs. Youngstown State, Sept. 10 vs. Florida Atlantic, Nov. 5 vs. Minnesota and Nov. 19 vs. Indiana.

Fans also may purchase tickets by calling the Spartan Ticket Office, locally at 355-1610 or outside the Lansing area at 1-800-GO-STATE. The Spartan Ticket Office, located in Jenison Field House, is open weekdays from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Michigan State has ranked among the NCAA’s top 25 in football attendance each of the last 55 years, including No. 19 in 2010, averaging 73,556 fans per game. The Spartans ranked No. 17 in the NCAA in total attendance, as 514,894 fans went through the turnstiles for seven home games in 2010.
