A Niles woman was uninjured after her vehicle was rear-ended on M-60 in Newburg Township, Cass County Thursday afternoon.

Jessica Kelly, 20, stopped her vehicle on M-60 near M-40 and was waiting to turn left when a vehicle driven by James Harris, 40, of Dowagiac was traveling westbound on M-60 and did not see Kelly’s vehicle, rear-ending it.

Newburg Ambulance treated Kelly at the scene.

Harris was transported by Newburg Ambulance to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac with minor injuries.

Harris’ air bag deployed, safety belts were used and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The Newburg Fire Department assisted Cass County sheriff’s deputies at the scene.

The sheriff’s department is investigating the crash.
