NILES – It didn't take Mike Nate long to get back into coaching.
After resigning from South Bend (Ind.) Riley following last season, Nate has been presented to the Brandywine Board of Education to replace Terry Borr.
The board is expected to vote on his recommendation at its next meeting on May 26.
Nate, who graduated from Dowagiac and was an assistant coach on the 1990 Chieftain state title team, was also an assistant at Niles before becoming Bridgman's head coach.
The Bees were 11-24 under his direction, including a 5-4 mark in 2006.
Nate spent the last two seasons at Riley, where he was 5-15.
He will step in for Borr, who resigned earlier this year.
The Bobcats were 17-28 the last five seasons.
