In a battle of Division 4 state qualifiers from 2008, visiting Brandywine got the upper hand on Dowagiac Thursday afternoon.
The Lady Bobcats rolled to a 7-1 win over the Chieftains.
Dowagiac's lone victory came at No. 4 singles where Macy Howard defeated Kelsey Prestly in straight sets.
Brandywine captured straight set victories at No. 1, 2 and 3 singles with Brittney Patterson, Aubrey Espick and Ariel Prescott.
Patterson defeated Ami Sarao 6-3 and 6-2, while Espick defeated Elizabeth Kolden 6-2, 7-5.
Prescott was a 6-2 and 6-3 winner over Michelle Urbanski.
The Lady Bobcats swept the doubles flights, winning all in straight sets.
Jo Ferenczi and Nichole Coshow defeated Jessica Robinson and Kaitlyn Tyrakowski 6-2 and 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, while Lynnette Earl and Lauren Leonard posted a 7-5 and 6-4 decision over Kristan Stelmasiak and Alyssa Greenwood.
At No. 3 doubles, Ashley Light and Katie Iron defeated Alex Schuster and Marquira Smith 6-2 and 6-2. Brandywine's No. 4 doubles team of Kyla Molica and Brooke Ford knocked of Jessica Hargett and Casey Collins 6-3 and 7-5.
"We just didn't come to play," Dowagiac coach Curtis Partee said.
"To play this well on the road is very encouraging," Brandywine coach Joe Marazita said. "Espick has fought the flu all week, but she came up big against Buchanan and now Dowagiac. A real positive is the way or No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles set the table for us.
"Dowagiac is a well-coached team that I think will do very well this year," he noted.
