CASSOPOLIS – Frederick W. Leet, a former county commissioner, will be retiring as veterans service officer since 2000 in February.
County Administrator Terry Proctor said the Veterans Advisory Committee has several candidates who applied to succeed Leet.
"That board meets next week and I expect they will interview some candidates," Proctor said Thursday night.
