CASSOPOLIS – David H. Allen of Three Rivers recently joined the Midwest Energy Cooperative team in the newly-created role of vice president of regulatory compliance and community development.
Allen will provide leadership with Midwest Energy Cooperative's implementation of Michigan's comprehensive new energy legislation, which includes renewable portfolio standards, energy optimization efforts and net metering.
He will also work with local business and community leaders to create and implement economic development opportunities to help strengthen the local business climate.
"Michigan implemented a very comprehensive and detailed energy plan that will require a significant amount of work to implement and manage on the utility end," said Midwest Energy Cooperative President/CEO Bob Hance.
"Working together with members of his team and statewide resources, Dave will help to insure that Midwest is in full compliance with the new legislation."
