EAST LANSING – Derrick Collett and Austin Franco both claimed Spartan Classic championships on Sunday at the MYWAY event.
Dowagiac took a total of eight wres-tlers to the tournament, which had over 900 gra-pplers competing.
Jared Che-ckley and Ryan Franco both finished third, while Denny White and Myndy White were both fifth.
Also competing were Zack Checkley and Nick Webber.
Seven other wrestlers competed in a novice tournament at Brandywine on Sunday.
Jason Weber took first place, while Andrew McIntosh, Alex McIntosh and Garrett Pilivant was second, while Devin Bucha third.
The team will compete on Sunday in Coloma.
