There are just two games remaining in the 2008-09 college football season, but the championship of the Daily News Football Forecasters has already been decided.
Dowagiac City Clerk Jim Snow has locked up the championship as he holds a one-game lead over Dowagiac Police Chief Tom Atkinson.
The two have selected the same teams for the final two games of the season – Ball State in tonight's GMAC Bowl against Tulsa and Florida in Thursday night's BSC Championship game against Oklahoma.
Cass County Family Court Judge Sue Dobrich will finish third and Fox 28's Allison Hayes fourth as they too have the same picks and are separated by two games.
Cassopolis Police Chief Frank Williams will finish fifth with Congressman Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, battling it out with Bryan Wild for sixth place.
Upton currently holds a one-game lead over Wild, but the two have chosen opposite teams in the national title game on Thursday.
Leader Publications General Manager Bryan Clapper will finish eighth with Dowagiac Softball Coach Mike Behnke finishing ninth.
Daily News Managing Editor John Eby and Sports Editor Scott Novak were tied for 10th place, however, Novak took Texas over Ohio State, while Eby selected the Buckeyes, who lost 24-21.
Dowagiac Athletic Director Greg Younger will bring up the rear in 12th place.
