SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Join the "Kentucky Women" on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009 for an informal introduction to mountain dulcimer playing.
The morning class begins at 10 and an identical class is offered at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick's County Park in South Bend.
The two-hour workshop is recommended for anyone who has ever wanted to learn how to play the mountain dulcimer. No experience in playing or reading music is necessary. Limited loaner dulcimers are provided to share, participants are encouraged to bring a dulcimer if they have access to one.
The fee for the workshop is $10 per person. Recommended for ages 10 and older. Youth under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
