The Dowagiac Middle School eighth grade boys' basketball Black team edged South Haven on Monday, 46-43.
Dontel Highsmith had a game-high 27 points to lead the Chieftains to their fifth victory in six games.
Brendon Murray added six points and D.J. Hunt five points.
Tyler Clark finished with four points with Jalen Brooks and Matt Osborn added two points each.
Cal Cox was the top rebounder and shot blocker for the Chieftains.
Dowagiac is back in action today as it travels to Vicksburg for a 4 p.m. start.
