The holidays are a wonderful time to celebrate with family and friends.
They are also a time to remember those who are far away or no longer with us.
To honor and remember these special people, Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan is sponsoring the 13th annual Tree of Honor and Remembrance.
For a $5 donation, individuals can choose a crimson or patriotic bow bearing the name of their loved one to hang on the tree.
Names will be published weekly in the Dowagiac Daily News.
Proceeds support grief support services for Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan client families and the community.
Bows may be purchased at the Dowagiac Open House Nov. 22 in Beckwith Park.
After the open house, bows will be available at Dowagiac Area Federal Credit Union, Greater Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce, The Hairitage and The Marshall Shoppe.
If you are unable to visit one of these locations, please call the hospice office at (800) 304-0273 and they'll see that your bow is placed on the tree.
