To the editor:
For 39 years I have watched Judy Truesdell embrace the community where my family roots are deep.
Judy has advocated for people, worked to improve quality of life, brought innovative ideas leading to successful, job-creating businesses and served tirelessly as an elected community college trustee to insure quality education and training for young people, workers and employers.
I know this because Judy is my wife and business partner for all that time.
Her empathy is sincere, her ideas fresh and innovative, her business experience broad and pioneering – exactly what's needed in Lansing.
In contrast, her opponent was selected, bought and paid for by her state party, defeating a fine, longstanding Republican leader from Berrien Springs in the process.
She's known only one job for 29 years and little else about the district or its people.
You only have to look at her mailings to know who pays most of her way and her obligation to vote their will.
Judy, on the other hand, has gone directly to the people and organizations representing Michigan workers for most of her support.
She is not beholden to anyone and will be an independent voice in Lansing for the people she represents.
