DOWAGIAC -- Niles area residents are invited to help celebrate history as Dowagiac Elks Lodge No. 889 celebrates its 100th birthday on Friday, March 26.
The event, open to the public, is in conjunction with the regularly-scheduled Friday Night Fish Fry and Steak Dinner and will feature other special menu items. Dinner will be served from 6 to 8 p.m., after which you can dance to the sounds of local musicians and fellow Elks, "4th Avenue and the Randall Ripley Quartet."
Dowagiac Lodge is one of almost 2,200 nationwide. Anyone who wishes to learn more about membership in the Dowagiac Elks or about the charitable programs which are supported by them can call 269-782-3889.
