Senior center earns
Honorable Mention
after leading league in field goal percentage
Senior Gerrit Brigitha, Central Michigan University's leading scorer and rebounder in 2003-04, was named honorable mention All-Mid-American Conference by the league coaches.
Brigitha, a Niles High School graduate, was the only Chippewa honored.
The 6-8 center averaged 17.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while shooting .570 from the floor. His field goal percentage ranked 10th in CMU single season history.
Brigitha currently leads the MAC in field goal percentage and ranks fifth in scoring and ninth in rebounding. He averaged 18.1 points in conference play.
The education major was honored as MAC West Division "Player of the Week" twice during the season and he tallied four double-doubles on the year.
