Dowagiac City Council declared three properties public nuisances Monday night after receiving no comment at a public hearing.
The action by the council requires property owners to obtain a permit and initiate repairs within 15 days and complete repairs within 60 days or the condemned structures will be demolished at their expense.
Property at 203 Andrews St. belongs to James V. Macon; 403 Jefferson St. to Roberta and Lewis Smith; and a garage at 317 McOmber St. to Rick Mather, according to city records.
