Fresh off its third-place finish at the Lakeland Conference Tournament on Saturday, the Buchanan varsity volleyball team beat Michigan Lutheran 25-13, 23-25, 25-20, 25-15 Monday night to improve to 23-20-5 on the year.
Ashlee Layher led the Bucks' offensive attack with 19 kills. She also had 10 digs, four blocks and three aces.
Ali Bender had 38 assists to go along with 13 digs and two blocks. Holly Tibbs had 11 kills while Michelle Johnson had nine digs.
The Bucks host the Class C District Tournament Saturday. Buchanan and Brandywine will square off in the first match of the day at 9 a.m.
