Brandywine’s Sidenbender wins 200th game

The Brandywine baseball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from visiting Eau Claire to give veteran Bobcat coach David Sidenbender his 200th career victory.
The sweep actually left Sidenbender with 201 wins heading into Saturday’s Brandywine Round Robin Tournament.
The Bobcats won the opening game 14-4, while they took the nightcap 14-1 in five innings.
Kyle King earned the victory with relief help from Wayne Marazita and Tyler Hartman.
Austin Searles and Derek Nichols both doubled. Wyatt Taylor hit a homerun.
In the nightcap, Alex Erwin picked up the victory as he tossed a three-hitter.
Brian Exner had a pair of doubles and finished the day with five hits and four RBIs.
Joe Godfrey singled and doubled for the Bobcats, who are now 15-8.
