Two arrested for drug trafficking in Pokagon

Detectives with the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announce the arrests of two individuals allegedly involved in narcotics trafficking in the Village of Pokagon.
At approximately 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, detectives with the drug enforcement team went to a residence in the 61000 block of Front Street in the Village of Pokagon to assist agents from the Michigan Department of Probation and Parole.
While assisting the parole and probation agent, detectives located three subjects hiding in a bathroom.
Also located in the bathroom was a large quantity of marijuana and prescription medication, as well as, numerous digital scales and packaging materials.
Detectives arrested a 28-year-old local male resident for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of prescription medication with intent to deliver, maintaining a drug house and parole violation.
The second subject arrested was a 22-year-old female from St. Ignace, Mich. She was arrested on the charges of frequenting a drug house and probation violation.
The investigation is ongoing.
Additional charges may be sought.
