CASSOPOLIS — Sheriff Joseph Underwood Jr. reports that on Friday, Oct. 1, at 1:35 p.m. his deputies investigated a traffic crash with injuries on Old 205 at Cassopolis Road in Mason Township.

Investigation revealed that Allison Tadd, 32, of Edwardsburg, was traveling north on Old 205 and attempted to make a left turn onto Cassopolis Road, failing to see a southbound semi tractor/trailer driven by Michael Dinatale, 57, of Elkhart, Ind.

Tadd struck the semi tractor.

She received minor injuries and was transported to Elkhart General Hospital by Porter Township EMS.

Two infant passengers in their car seats in the Tadd vehicle were uninjured.

Dinatale was checked at the scene for injuries and released.

Deputies were assisted by Porter Township, fire and EMS personnel.
Seat belts were worn.

Alcohol was not a factor.
