PAW PAW — For the second straight year, Gull Lake is the king of Wolverine Conference tennis.

The Blue Devils rolled to the league championship on Saturday at Paw Paw High School as they score 67 points to easily outdistance themselves from runner-up Allegan. The Tigers finished with 57 points.

Otsego finished third with 53 points and host Paw Paw was fourth with 42. Vicksburg also scored 42 points, while South Haven finished sixth with 33 points, Three Rivers seventh with 30 points, Dowagiac eighth with 23 points and Plainwell ninth with eight points.

Gull Lake swept the doubles flights and split the singles championships with Otsego to win the conference title.

Wolverine Conference golf
OTSEGO — Hannah Lewis grabbed medalist honors at the Wolverine Conference Golf Tournament on Thursday at Prairiewood Golf Course.

Vicksburg won the tournament title with a team score of 373, while Plainwell and Otsego tied for second with a score of 382.

Allegan was fourth (387), Three Rivers fifth (390), Comstock sixth (395), Gull Lake seventh (399), South Haven eighth (444) and Dowagiac ninth (462).

Lewis shot 74 to easily win medalist honors. Brittany Haight of Otsego and Sarah Manski of Vicksburg tied for second with identical scores of 80. Chelsea Mazure of Comstock was fourth with an 89, while Katrina Tooker of Allegan and Lauren Meser of Gull Lake tied for fifth with an 89.
