Library screening two Ivey movies at the Beckwith

In anticipation of “An Evening with Judith Ivey” on Friday, Oct. 29, at Southwestern Michigan College’s Dale A. Lyons Building, two of her movies will be shown at Beckwith Theatre, 100 New York Ave., Dowagiac.
On Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 7:30 p.m., “Brighton Beach Memoirs,” Neil Simon’s remembrances of his adolescence, which make for genuinely enjoyable viewing.
It aims for the heart and more often than not, hits its mark. (Rated PG-13 for sexual references, 1986).
On Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m., “Hello Again.”
Suburban housewife Shelley Long chokes to death on a Korean meatball only to find herself brought back to life via a wacky spell cast by her wacky sister (Judith Ivey).
Screenplay by Susan Issacs.

The presentation of these movies is being done jointly by Beckwith Theatre Company and Dowagiac District Library.
