CASSOPOLIS – Nathan Kasper, who is charged with armed robbery, assault and battery of a police officer, possession of marijuana and other charges, will have to wait even longer for his sentencing.

After determining the 20-year-old Edwardsburg resident’s sentencing guidelines were at a minimum of 34 months in prison, Cass County Circuit Court Judge Michael Dodge did not accept his plea of guilty Friday, since the plea agreement called for a much lighter one-year jail sentence.

The case will be re-docketed for a trial by jury unless a new plea bargain is arranged.
