Hope College baseball team starts season with 3-11 record

HOLLAND – The Hope College baseball team is off to a rough start this season.
The Flying Dutchmen are currently 3-11 overall and 1-3 in the MIAA.
Former Dowagiac and Lake Michigan College standout Rich Burling is currently hitting .226 in 11 games for Hope. Burling has a triple, a home run and five RBIs.
Niles' Matt Richardson has appeared in three games for the Flying Dutchman and worked 3.2 innings.
Wayne State Baseball
Wayne State is currently undefeated in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a mark of 8-0.
Wayne State is 10-10 overall.
Former Niles and Lake Michigan College standout John Kessick is 2-1 on the year in four appearances with an ERA of 5.14. Kessick has worked 14 innings and has struck out 15 hitters and walked just two.
