To the editor:
Bless the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians for putting Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital's "A Campaign for Life" over the top to give Dowagiac a great and larger Borgess-Lee emergency room.
I, for one, have had to use the old one more times than I wanted, but was very glad it was there.
For the ones who don't think much of casinos, here is just one of the many good things they have funded.
Can you imagine if it had been built near Dowagiac what the city and Cass County would have reaped?
I'm sorry my friend Joe Winchester didn't live to see it and all that has been accomplished since that trip he took years ago to Washington, D.C.
