Berrien RESA consultant Technology-Using Educator of Year

The Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning (MACUL) has recognized Janine Lim, one of Berrien Regional Education Service Agency’s (Berrien RESA) technology consultants, as the 2009 Outstanding Technology-Using Educator of the Year.
The award recognizes and honors a MACUL member who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in the use of technology to improve education.
Lim serves Berrien County schools as the coordinator of videoconference experiences for students, staff and administrators. She is also responsible for developing and implementing videoconferencing curriculum in the classroom. She has worked for Berrien RESA as a technology consultant since 1997.
The award winners will receive technology gifts presented by the SMARTer Kids Foundation, Dell and EduTek Midwest. In addition, Lim will represent Michigan in the International Society of Technology in Education’s National Outstanding Technology Educator Award competition.
Founded in 1975, MACUL is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing educators from all levels together to share their knowledge and increase expertise in educational uses of computers and technology.
