The Ring Lardner eighth grade Blue boys basketball team opened its season with a 54-13 win over Dowagiac Thursday.
The Vikings had 10 different players score in the game, led by Demetrius Phillips with 10 points and Zach Bloss with nine points.
The eighth grade Blue team will play again on Monday, Nov. 24, at Elkhart Northside at 4:30 p.m.
