Dowagiac senior Ryan Casey has been selected to play in the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association All-Star Game on July 18.
Casey will play for the West All-Stars, who are coached by Tom Barbieri of Dexter.
Casey, who will wear No. 71 in the game, will be one of two players from the Wolverine Conference set to play.
Gull Lake's Andrew Grimes was also selected for the game.
They will be joined by Portage Northern's Josh Droppers, Rocky Weaver, Myles McNichols of Battle Creek Central and Kevin Pickleman of Marshall from the Big 16 Conference.
The only other southwest lower Michigan player on the roster is Centreville's Doug Mostrom.
"This is great," Dowagiac coach Mike Stanger said. "All of Ryan's hard work has paid off. It is gratifying to see the improvement he made in his career. To see him receive this reward for that effort is great. It's a real honor to see Ryan receive this opportunity."
The game is slated to begin at 2 p.m. at Spartan Stadium on the campus of Michigan State University.
