Ann O’Keefe earns All-American status

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Bethel College Track &Field teams competed at the NAIA Indoor Track &Field National Championship Meet this weekend and left with three All-American places at the meet.
Bethel junior, Zach Burrington, placed 4th nationally in the men's pole vault clearing a height of 15-9.
On the women's side, Bethel freshmen, Caitlyn Gager and Ann O'Keefe, placed 4th and 6th respectively in the nation in the women's pole vault.
Gager cleared a height of 11-11 while O'Keefe cleared the 11-5 mark. For there efforts, Burrington, Gager, and O'Keefe earned NAIA All-American honors.
Other members of the Pilot track program competing at the national meet were Geoffrey King, finishing 15th nationally in the 60m dash with a time of 6.99, Chris Warhop, placing 28th in the nation in the 60m dash with a time of 7.16, Kate Bishop, finishing 23rd nationally in the 200m run with a time of 26.17, and Jessie Spearman, placing 25th in the nation in the women's 60m dash with a time of 8.03.
The Bethel men's and women's track teams will begin their outdoor track and field season on Saturday, March 24th when they will compete in the Defiance Invitational, in Defiance, Ohio.
