CASSOPOLIS – Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood reports his deputies handled a personal-injury accident that occurred on Baldwin Prairie Road near Chapel Hill Street in Porter Township at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15.
A southbound vehicle driven by Brenda Henney, 16, of Vandalia, left the roadway and collided with a tree.
Henney and her passenger, 16-year-old Joshua Snyder of White Pigeon, were treated at the scene by Porter ambulance and transported to Elkhart, Ind., General Hospital for their injuries.
Alcohol was not a factor.
Both occupants were wearing their seatbelts.
