After a year's absence, the Dowagiac Chieftain Wrestling Invitational makes its return on Saturday, Dec. 9.
The Chieftains will host Decatur, Kalamazoo Central, Lakeshore, Mattawan and White Pigeon at the Dowagiac Middle School.
Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Admission is $5 per person. Concessions will be available.
The tournament is an individual format with wrestlers being placed in 8-man brackets with a maximum of two contests per weight class from each school. The teams can have an additional seven wrestlers.
The top four placers in each weight class will receive medals. Team champion and team runner-up will receive trophies.
