The Dowagiac freshmen and junior varsity basketball teams were both defeated by visiting Paw Paw on Thursday night.
The freshmen fell to the Lady Redskins 36-26, while the JV fell to Paw Paw, 46-20.
Freshmen basketball
Yasmine Chambliss led Dowagiac with eight points. Marcie Ennesser added six points.
JV basketball
Brittany Gnatz led the JV squad with 11 points. The Chieftains also got five points from Stephanie Grabemeyer.
The two teams are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Allegan. The freshmen game will begin at 4:15 p.m. The JV tilt is scheduled to start at 5:45 p.m.
"The girls are continuing to work hard while showing some improvement," Dowagiac coach Brad Yauchstetter said.
